We are a Canadian family that began restoring Vintage Trailers 3 years ago in an attempt to spend more time together camping. Our 3 children have spent many hours side by side scrubbing, polishing and painting. One day they too will have a piece of travel history and be able to share their love of the outdoors and traveling with the ones they love.
We currently own two Shasta trailers (1961 compact and a 1957 Deluxe), a British 1968 Bailey Caravan, a 1953 Canadian made "Custom Coach" trailer, a 1950 Kenskill model X, and one 1950 Airfloat. The learning curve has been steep but with a decent background in construction and two people willing to work together, we will be able to restore these treasures back to their original state to preserve them for future generations. We love the shape and functionality of trailers made between the 1940's and the mid 1960's.
2 years ago we embarked on an epic adventure that would take our 1962 Shasta 16SC through 2 provinces and 8 states. From the Rocky Mountains in Calgary to the peach groves in Oregon, across the Golden Gate bridge. Continuing to the parking lot at Universal Studios, to the desert of Arizona and down the Vegas strip, we spent 3 weeks together as a family and making memories.
