Gordie

In Memory of our friend Gord

We named our 1962 Shasta 16SC after our friend Gord who died in a tragic accident. He loved cars and was a big supporter of our trailer endeavors. In fact, he let us keep Tawdry in his backyard. We know Gord would have loved to know that we rebuilt the trailer and took him on an epic adventure.

Where did we get Gordie?

Gordie was purchased from an older gentleman out in High River. Bill reminds be of Doc from Back to the Future. A bit eccentric and a whole lot of chat.

Bill had seen "A Pretty Penny" parked out in front of my Aunt and Uncle's house across the street and was impressed that we were going to restore her. He mentioned that a buddy of his had something similar in his field and we encourage him to buy it. A year or so later, the High River flood occurred and Bill and his wife were able to escape their home and spent the next month in Gordie. When the waters had receded and Bill and his wife decided to move to B.C., we purchased it from them.
